Kazakhstan projects 13 million tonnes of grain export for new seasonKazakhstan plans to export 13 million tonnes of grain from its new harvest in the current marketing year, maintaining a strong export volume comparable to the previous season, according to the Ministry of Agriculture."In the last season (September 2024 - August 2025), exports reached 13.4 million tonnes, which is 47% higher than the year before. The export potential of the new harvest is estimated at 13 million tonnes," Deputy Minister of Agriculture Azat Sultanov said.Sultanov noted that demand for Kazakh grain remains stable and high, with 2.2 million tonnes already shipped from the new harvest, a 21% increase year-on-year.The country is expanding its export destinations, initiating shipments to Belgium, Portugal, Poland, Norway, Vietnam, UAE, Morocco, and Algeria, while resuming supplies to Iran, Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Georgia. Kazakhstan's grain harvest this year increased by 2% to 27 million tonnes with average yields of 17 centners per hectare. (ICE ALMATY)
