UNHCR: OVER 474,000 REFUGEES AND ASYLUM SEEKERS IN JORDAN
A recent report by the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) in Jordan revealed that the number of registered refugees and asylum seekers in the country has reached 474,807. According to the report, reviewed by Al-Mamlaka TV, Syrian refugees make up the vast majority, totaling 436,410 (91.9%). They are followed by Iraqis (24,529), Yemenis (8,820), and Sudanese (4,284). The report also recorded 324 refugees from Somalia and 440 from other nationalities. The data further showed that most refugees reside in urban areas, with 385,960 individuals (81.3%), while 88,847 (18.7%) live in refugee camps across the country. (ICE AMMAN)
