INDONESIA POSTS MODERATE INFLATION IN OCTOBER, TRADE SURPLUS IN SEPTEMBER
Indonesia reported moderate inflation and a robust trade surplus in late 2025, signaling economic resilience. In October, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose from 108.74 to 109.04, reflecting a 0.28% month-on-month increase. Annual inflation reached 2.86%, while year-to-date inflation stood at 2.10%, according to the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS). In September, Indonesia recorded a trade surplus of US$4.34 billion (approximately IDR 72 trillion), supported by strong export performance. Exports rose 11.41% year-on-year to US$24.68 billion, while imports totaled US$20.34 billion. The surplus was largely driven by non-oil and gas exports, underscoring the country’s stable pricing environment and solid external trade momentum amid global uncertainties.Source: https://rri.co.id/en/business/1947826/indonesia-posts-moderate-inflation-in-october-trade-surplus-in-september (ICE GIACARTA)
