FERTILITY CENTER TO OPEN IN BALI'S SANUR SEZ, BOOSTING HEALTH TOURISM

A new fertility treatment center is set to launch in the Sanur Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Denpasar, Bali, marking a major step forward in Indonesia’s health tourism ambitions. Developed through a partnership between state-owned PT Hotel Indonesia Natour (HIN) and Malaysia’s Alpha IVF, the internationally accredited facility will span 6,343 square meters and offer services such as IVF, obstetrics, gynecology, and pediatric care. The initiative aligns with the government’s vision to position Sanur SEZ as a premier destination for medical tourism, bringing global standards closer to Indonesian patients. Inaugurated by President Prabowo Subianto in June 2025, Sanur SEZ is Indonesia’s first integrated health and tourism zone, covering 41.26 hectares. It is projected to attract IDR 10.2 trillion in investment and generate over 43,000 jobs. As of Q1 2025, the zone has already secured IDR 4.42 trillion in investment and created nearly 4,000 jobs. The fertility center is expected to enhance Bali’s appeal to both domestic and international health tourists, while helping reduce the need for Indonesians to seek medical care abroad.Source: https://en.antaranews.com/news/384577/fertility-center-to-open-in-balis-sanur-sez-boosting-health-tourism?utm_source=antaranews&utm_medium=desktop&utm_campaign=top_news  (ICE GIACARTA)
