Kazakhstan to boost oil export to Germany in 2026 to 130,000 tonnes a month - KMGKazakhstan will increase its monthly oil supplies to Germany to 130,000 tonnes in 2026, according to a statement from the national company KazMunayGas (KMG).The company’s press service reported that KMG CEO Askat Khassenov met with general director of Rosneft Deutschland GmbH Johannes Bremer on Tuesday to discuss the transportation of Kazakh oil to Germany."Following the meeting, the current contract for Kazakh oil deliveries [from Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B.V.] to Germany was extended until the end of 2026. The agreement stipulates an increase in monthly supplies from 100,000 to 130,000 tonnes," the statement said.In 2024 Kazakhstan started supplying oil to Germany from the resources of KMG Kashagan B.V. and later in 2025 from the resources of Tengizchevroil LLP, according to KMG.Over the first nine months of 2025, the volume of Kazakh oil supplied to the Schwedt refinery amounted to approximately 1.5 million tonnes.Initially, KazMunayGas planned to deliver 1.5 million tonnes of oil to Germany via the Druzhba pipeline in 2025. In the twelve months of 2024, the same volume - 1.5 million tonnes - had been exported in this direction. Later, it became known from KMG materials that Kazakhstan could boost oil supplies to Germany in 2025 to 2 million tonnes. However, in October of this year, KMG CEO Askat Khassenov stated that the volume of oil supplies to Germany by the end of the year will have amounted to 1.7 million tonnes.Earlier, then Minister of Energy Almasadam Satkaliyev reported that if requested by Germany, oil supply volumes could be increased to 2 million tonnes.Since 2023, Kazakhstan has been supplying oil to Germany via the pipeline system of Transneft PJSC in the direction of Adamowo-Zastawa, an oil delivery point in Poland near the Belarussian border.
