The Ministry of Industry reported a significant surge in the chemical, pharmaceutical, and textile (IKFT) industries' performance through mid-2025. This growth, driven by strengthened domestic industry, improved exports, and policy support, saw the IKFT sector contribute 3.82% to national GDP. Notable sub-sectors include non-metallic mining (10.07% growth in Q2 2025) and pharmaceuticals/traditional medicine (9.39% growth). Exports of footwear, textiles, and chemical products also increased, with total combined exports for footwear and textiles reaching US$13.17 billion. The Industry Confidence Index (IKI) shows consistent positive growth across all IKFT sub-sectors.
