ORLEN GROUP IS CONSISTENTLY SEARCHING FOR NEW HYDROCARBON DEPOSITS

ORLEN Group is consistently searching for new hydrocarbon deposits and increasing their extraction, particularly on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. This reflects a broader global trend, because similar activities are also carried out by the world's largest energy companies. At the end of August, ORLEN announced two important events related to its extensive activity in the Norwegian and North Seas. Firstly, the Norwegian company ORLEN, together with its partners, completed the next phase of development of Ormen Lange field, thanks to which ORLEN will obtain an additional 0.5 billion cubic metres of raw material from the field. Secondly, almost at the same time as the compressors on the seabed began operating at the Ormen Lange field, ORLEN Upstream Norway employees, together with partner companies, finalised estimates related to their discovery of a new large field in the North Sea – as part of the Omega Alfa project in the Yggdrasil area. Its recoverable resources are estimated at up to approximately 134 million barrels of oil equivalent. (ICE VARSAVIA)
