POLAND AIMS TO ATTRACT INVESTORS FROM JAPAN

1 October is Polish National Day at Expo 2025, while on 30 September, the Polish-Japanese Investment Forum took place in Osaka. This is the second major business event organised by the Polish Investment and Trade Agency, which also built and runs the Polish pavilion at the World Exhibition. The first was the Polish-Japanese Export Forum on 20 May. Over 400 business representatives from both countries attended the forum in Osaka. The overall goal of both forums was to strengthen economic relations between the two countries. Poland has a steadily growing trade deficit, which is expected to reach EUR5bn in 2024, driven mainly by the automotive industry. While the May meeting focused on balancing trade, the main theme of the investment forum was to attract Japanese investors to Poland. (ICE VARSAVIA)
