Minister of State for Media Affairs and Government Spokesperson Mohammad Momani announced that work on the Jordan Railway Project will begin soon, with completion expected in 2029. Speaking at a press conference following Saturday’s Cabinet session in Aqaba, Momani said the project will establish a new railway line connecting the industrial port in Aqaba with key mining areas, including the Shaidiya phosphate mines and the potash factories in Ghor Al-Safi. He added that the project will be implemented in partnership with the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority. (ICE AMMAN)
