Inflation in Ukraine continued to ease in August, standing at 13.2% year-on-year compared to 14.1% in July, according to the State Statistics Service.Food and non-alcoholic beverage prices fell by 0.8% during the month, with vegetables and fruits dropping by 12.7% and 10.2% respectively. Prices for rice declined by 1.5% and sugar by 1.0%.Clothing and footwear also became cheaper, down by 3.2% overall, including a 3.9% decrease in footwear and a 2.7% fall in clothing prices.Meanwhile, communication costs rose by 2.7%, mainly due to a 4.7% increase in mobile service tariff (ICE KIEV)
