Kazakhstan orders launch of unified digital freight system by late 2025 Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov on Tuesday ordered the creation of a unified digital platform for customs and logistics services."The Ministry of Transport, together with the ministries of finance and digital development, must ensure the launch of the unified digital system for customs and logistics services 'Smart Cargo' by the end of October," Bektenov said at the government meeting on Tuesday.The ministry must also submit a specialized program within two months to stimulate container shipping and develop multimodal routes, alongside crafting a new competitive tariff policy for all transport modes.The initiative follows a national address by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, who recently identified air cargo as a highly profitable and critical sector amid growing e-commerce and high-technology supply chains (ICE ALMATY)
