Kazakhstan targets 67 mln tonnes of transit by 2029, 100 mln by 2035 – transport ministry Transit cargo through Kazakhstan reached 34.6 million tonnes in 2024, a 7.1% increase from 32.3 million tonnes in 2023, Deputy Transport Minister Maksat Kaliakparov said Tuesday.“In 2024, the total transit volume through Kazakhstan amounted to 34.6 million tonnes, which is 7.1% higher than the previous year,” Kaliakparov told a government meeting.He said the ministry aims to boost transit volumes to 67 million tonnes by 2029 and to 100 million tonnes by 2035.
