Trout farm will be created in the Caspian Sea in Kazakhstan  A project to create a marine cage farm with a capacity of 5,000 tonnes of trout per year is being implemented in the Mangistau region of Kazakhstan in the Caspian Sea, the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture reported.The project, worth 12 billion tenge, is being implemented by Organic Fish LLP. In June of this year, the company was approved for a preferential loan of 5 billion tenge at 2.5% for the purchase of equipment and components for marine cages.On September 5, in the Karakiya district of the Mangistau region, the first cages were installed in a designated area of the Caspian Sea, and the launch of the first fry is planned for October.According to the Ministry of Agriculture, since 2021, 44 cage fish farms have been operating in the country, mainly in the East Kazakhstan, Almaty and Turkestan regions. With a total annual fish production volume of 20,000 tonnes in the country, about 3,500 tonnes are accounted for by cage farms.As part of the development of the fisheries industry until 2027, it is planned to implement 39 projects in Kazakhstan with a total cost of 50 billion tenge.Organic Fish LLP is a Kazakhstani company founded in 2023 for growing sea trout in cages and its subsequent processing.
