China Energy Engineering to build 300MW solar plant in southern KazakhstanKazakhstan’s Ministry of Energy and China Energy Engineering Group signed an investment agreement to build a 300-megawatt solar power plant in the Turkistan region.The deal, which includes a power purchase agreement, was finalized on Wednesday in Beijing during the eighth meeting of the Kazakhstan-China Business Council.The plant will be built in the Saursky district with an estimated investment of $320 million. Construction is scheduled for 2025-2026.China Energy Engineering Corp., a major Chinese engineering and construction firm, specializes in power plant development and equipment manufacturing.
