Kazakhstan aims for over 20 million tonnes of grain in 2025Kazakhstan forecasts its 2025 grain harvest could exceed 20 million tonnes, provided weather conditions remain favorable, Deputy Minister of Agriculture Azat Sultanov said Tuesday.Sultanov told reporters that "the current state of crops in the fields is good, with almost no reported losses. The annual harvest is projected to be over 20 million tons of grain if the weather is favorable."Regarding the quality of the grain being collected, the Deputy Minister noted that Class 3 wheat, which is food-grade grain, is predominantly entering storage facilities so far this year.In 2024, Kazakh farmers harvested a record 26.5 million tonnes of grain, with an average yield of 1.6 tonnes per hectare.
