President Masoud Pezeshkian says cooperation between Iran and Tajikistan is steadily expanding across all sectors, stressing the importance of passing on the two nations’ shared cultural heritage to future generations.Pezeshkian made the remarks in a meeting with Tajikistan's President Emomali Rahmon, which took place on the sidelines of the 25th Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in Tianjin, China, on Monday.The Iranian president expressed satisfaction over the frequent meetings and exchanges between the two countries’ officials, which he said have strengthened friendship and brotherhood between the two culturally connected nations.Pezeshkian noted that recent years have witnessed positive and growing cooperation in transit, trade, tourism, science, and people-to-people exchanges between Iran and Tajikistan.Turning to the situation in Gaza, the Iranian president condemned the Israeli regime’s ongoing attacks, saying that the regime, with the green light and support of the United States, is committing maximum atrocities in Gaza. He called on Islamic countries as well as international and regional organizations to take every possible measure to stop these crimes.For his part, President Rahmon voiced a strong interest in deepening relations with Iran, particularly in the fields of economy, investment, and culture. He also strongly condemned the June military aggression by Israel and the United States against Iran.Rahmon praised Iran’s historical, cultural, scientific, and civilizational standing, emphasizing the constructive cooperation between Tehran and Dushanbe at bilateral, regional, and international levels.
