Karaganda eyes mass production of dronesPerspective, a Karaganda-based research and production enterprise, has developed three drone prototypes for public safety and is preparing for mass production, the regional administration said Thursday.The project was carried out as part of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s directive to establish high-localization manufacturing in Kazakhstan.“The prototypes developed in Karaganda can be used to search for people and vehicles and to monitor large areas. The long-range Vista-7 is best suited for such tasks. The compact short-range Chimera-5 can operate inside buildings and in hard-to-reach areas, such as collapsed structures, and can also be used in police operations where risks to officers must be minimized,” the administration said in a statement.The third prototype, the Apex-7, is described as a versatile multipurpose drone suited for street patrols, public event security and fire safety monitoring.According to the regional administration, the enterprise is now exploring mass production of drones.
