Kazakhstan launches agricultural drone assembly plant to boost farming efficiencyA new assembly plant for agricultural drones has launched operations in Kazakhstan’s Zhambyl region, with an annual production capacity of up to 1,000 units, the country’s Ministry of Agriculture announced Tuesday. The drones are designed to provide farmers and agricultural enterprises with advanced precision farming tools. Their applications include efficient crop spraying, fertilizer distribution and monitoring plant health using multispectral camera technology, the ministry said.According to the press release, the use of these drones is expected to conserve water, fertilizers and fuel, while increasing crop yields. The technology also aims to reduce costs for mechanization and manual labor, and minimize soil compaction and plant damage. The company behind the project, UNICROP, plans to sell between 50 and 60 drones this year, with a target of at least 150 units by 2026.
