Kazakh premier orders timely coal, fuel oil deliveries ahead of heating seasonKazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov has ordered the timely delivery of coal and fuel oil to energy facilities ahead of the upcoming heating season."The Ministry of Energy, together with Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (KTZ) and regional administrations, must take measures to ensure the timely supply of coal and fuel oil to energy facilities according to the approved schedule and volumes. Also, establish control over the supply of coal to the population," Bektenov said at a government meeting on Tuesday.Energy Minister Yerlan Akkenzhenov told the meeting that coal mining enterprises and KTZ are ready to supply the required volume of coal to the regions.According to his data, 61.4 million tonnes of coal were mined in the first seven months of this year. Of this, 2.2 million tonnes were shipped to utility enterprises and households, 37.4 million tonnes to power plants, 1.6 million tonnes to industrial enterprises, and 18.2 million tonnes were exported.
