Kazakhstan’s economy grew 6.3% in Jan-July 2025The economy of Kazakhstan expanded by 6.3% in the first seven months of 2025, the government’s press service reported Tuesday."According to preliminary data from the Bureau of National Statistics, Kazakhstan’s gross domestic product (GDP) increased by 6.3% in January-July 2025 compared to the same period last year," the press service said in a statement.Goods production rose by 8.3%, services by 5.2%, and industrial output by 6.9%.The largest contributors to GDP growth were transportation and storage (up 22.5%), construction (up 18.5%), wholesale and retail trade (up 8.6%), mining (up 8.5%), and manufacturing (up 6.1%).Earlier, analysts surveyed by Interfax-Kazakhstan had projected Kazakhstan’s economic growth for January-July 2025 in the range of 5.5% to 6.3%.As previously reported, the National Bank of Kazakhstan raised its 2025 GDP growth forecast to 5-6%, citing stronger domestic demand and increased investment activity.President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev had earlier stated that GDP growth would reach at least 5.5% in 2025.Kazakhstan’s GDP grew by 6.2% in January-June 2025, by 4.8% in 2024 and 5.1% in 2023.
