Kazakhstan reports 16.1% growth in fixed capital investments over seven monthsKazakhstan’s fixed capital investments reached 9.921 trillion tenge in January-July 2025, marking a 16.1% increase compared to the same period in 2024, according to the Bureau of National Statistics under the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms.The industrial sector accounted for the largest share of investments at 37.5%, including 15.7% in the extractive sector and 11.6% in manufacturing. Other significant sectors included real estate operations (19.6%), transportation and warehousing (17.5%), and education (7.4%).Spending on construction and major renovations of buildings and structures rose by 21.3% year-on-year in the first seven months of 2025.Businesses’ own funds remained the primary investment source at 6.347 trillion tenge. Large enterprises contributed 3.056 trillion tenge in investments during the period.State budget funds made up 22.4% of total investments, while bank loans accounted for 3.5% and other borrowed funds for 10.1%, including 3.2% from non-residents.
