POP MART ADDS TRENDY FLAIR TO CHINA SERVICE TRADE FAIR

The 2025 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) will feature pop culture attractions this year through a new partnership with Pop Mart, promising new experiences for visitors.Pop Mart, which makes collectible toys including the popular Labubu character, will be the exclusive trend culture partner for this year's CIFTIS. The company will run two booths with product displays, a dessert stand and large outdoor art installations for photos.The company will bring its dessert booth to the fair for the first time, extending the food concept it launched at Molly's Dessert House in its Beijing theme park last August. The desserts, designed around the company's well-known characters, were partly showcased at last year's fair, drawing significant visitor interest.The brand will also display collectible Mega Collection figures and plush toys at the fair, alongside a large Star Man-themed art installation designed as a photo opportunity for attendees.  Separately, Pop Mart will operate a separate exhibition area in Beijing's Chaoyang district, featuring products that blend its characters with traditional Chinese cultural elements and heritage craftsmanship techniques. The company said the initiative showcases how traditional cultural elements can be integrated into contemporary consumer products.Pop Mart reported revenue of 13.88 billion yuan ($1.91 billion) in the first half of 2025, up 204% from the same period last year. Adjusted net profit rose 363% to 4.71 billion yuan. Thirteen of the company's character brands each generated more than 100 million yuan in revenue.The company has been expanding beyond traditional collectible toys into building blocks, plush toys, desserts and jewelry as it seeks to broaden its IPs across multiple categories.This year's CIFTIS will run Sept. 10-14 at Shougang Park in Beijing's Shijingshan district.
