VINCI FUND, OWNED BY BGK, WILL INVEST IN MICROSATELLITES PRODUCTION
A fund Vinci, owned by BGK group, will invest PLN40m in the Finnish-Polish company Iceye, which manufactures microsatellites. "These funds are to be allocated to the development of research and production capabilities. The solutions offered by the company are a good example of dual-use technology. Iceye satellites provide data for agriculture, crisis management and defence, among other things. Iceye owns and operates the world's largest constellation of observation microsatellites equipped with synthetic aperture radar (SAR). The technology is used by Ukrainians defending against the Russian invasion, and in May, the Polish Ministry of National Defence also ordered three such devices. The first of these is expected to be in orbit in the fourth quarter of 2025. (ICE VARSAVIA)
