UKRAINE SEES SLOWEST INDUSTRIAL INFLATION IN NEARLY 18 MONTHS, AT 4.7%

The growth of Ukraine’s industrial inflation slowed to the lowest level in nearly 1.5 years in July, reaching 4.7%. The producer price index in July increased by 4.7% compared to July of the previous year, marking the smallest rise since April 2024, according to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine. In the main industrial sectors, prices increased as follows: In the extractive industry and quarrying, prices rose by 4.4%; in the processing industry, by 11.5%. Among processing subsectors, the largest increase was in food, beverage, and tobacco production – up by 18.9%. Prices in mechanical engineering rose by 9.8%, in basic pharmaceutical manufacturing by 14%, and in textile, clothing, and leather production by 7.2%.
