Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Saleh Kharabsheh emphasized that securing energy supplies, diversifying sources, and promoting efficient consumption are key priorities under the Economic Modernization Vision. He stressed that expanding investment in renewable energy is essential to strengthening energy security. His remarks came during the energy sector session held as part of the sectoral workshops to prepare the second executive program of the Economic Modernization Vision (2026–2029), launched at the Prime Ministry on Saturday. Kharabsheh highlighted the Risha gas development project as one of the vision’s most significant initiatives in the coming phase, citing its role in enhancing energy security, boosting the competitiveness of the industrial sector locally and globally, and creating new job opportunities. He also announced the addition of 24 new projects, including initiatives to develop the production, utilization, and export of green hydrogen and its derivatives, as well as efforts to maximize the local value of energy sector resources and projects.
