INDONESIAN GOVT HAS DISTRIBUTED IDR30.73 BLN IN AGRICULTURAL EQUIPMENT CREDIT

As of August 19, 2025, the Indonesian government has disbursed IDR 30.73 billion in Agricultural Equipment and Machinery Credit (Kredit Alsintan) to 43 debtors, with Bank Sulselbar contributing the largest share at IDR 17.85 billion. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to address stagnation in agricultural productivity, low investment, and declining farmer regeneration. To support both agriculture and labor-intensive industries facing global competition and weak export demand, the government introduced two priority financing schemes: Kredit Alsintan to boost mechanization and productivity, and Labor-Intensive Industrial Credit (KIPK) to sustain working capital and employment. The Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs is actively implementing these schemes through updated regulations and outreach, including Permenko No. 3, 4, and 6 of 2025. KIPK targets sectors such as food and beverages, textiles, garments, footwear, furniture, and toys, offering loans between IDR 500 million and IDR 10 billion with a 5% interest subsidy. West Java, a key industrial hub, recorded strong economic growth and ranked among the top provinces for KUR disbursement, reaching IDR 16.89 trillion across 315,000 borrowers. Nationally, KUR distribution hit IDR 162.62 trillion, or 56.57% of the 2025 targetSource: https://kumparan.com/kumparanbisnis/pemerintah-telah-salurkan-kredit-alat-pertanian-rp-30-73-m-per-19-agustus-2025-25hSTdCb8c7 (ICE GIACARTA)
