INDONESIA NEEDS IDR 300 TRILLION (EUR 15.8 BILLION) INVESTMENT ON WASTE MANAGEME
At a consolidation meeting in Jakarta (21 August), Environment Minister Hanif Faisol Nurofiq said Indonesia needed around IDR 300 trillion (EUR 15.8 billion) to achieve 100% waste management by 2029, including converting 343 open dumping sites into sanitary landfills. He stressed that while this transformation—covering TPST, TPS3R, RDF, and PLTSa facilities—offered circular economy potential, funding remained a challenge, requiring stronger bilateral support and private participation.Source: https://en.antaranews.com/news/374681/indonesia-needs-rp300-trillion-for-total-waste-management-by-2029?utm_source=antaranews&utm_medium=desktop&utm_campaign=top_news (ICE GIACARTA)
