Wind power capacity exceeded 5.5 GW in the first half of the year, according to figures announced by the Hellenic Wind Energy Association.Total wind power capacity in Greece at the end of June 2025 was 5,507 MW as 37 new wind turbines with a capacity of 152.2 MW were connected to the grid during the first half of the year, corresponding to investments totaling 180 million euros. The annual growth rate doubled compared to the previous year, which it welcomed as positive but not sufficient to restore balance in the mix of RES technologies.
