THESSALONIKI METRO RECEIVES 3 NEW TRAINS FROM ITALY
The new batch of trains will serve the Metro extension to the suburb of Kalamaria. Delivery of the remaining 12 new trains by Italy is expected to be completed by Februrary 2026. Thessaloniki's Metro trains are transported by ship from Italy to the western Greek port of Igoumenitsa, from where they are taken by special vehicles to the Pylea depot. (ICE ATENE)
