THE Marcos administration is banking on increased Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) and Bureau of Customs (BOC) efficiency to drive annual revenues past the P7-trillion mark by 2030. “By 2030, our total revenues will hit P7 trillion,” Finance Secretary Ralph Recto said during a Development Budget Coordination Committee budget briefing on Monday at the House of Representatives. “This means that we are asking the BIR and BOC to work harder and boost efficiency at a faster pace,” he added. “[They] are doubling down their efforts in enhancing tax administration through digitalization, strict enforcement and plugging of tax leakages.” Projections presented by the Department of Finance showed revenues hitting nearly P6 trillion by 2028 and then surpassing the P7-trillion mark two years later.   https://www.manilatimes.net/2025/08/19/business/top-business/philippines-targets-over-p7-trillion-in-revenues-by-2030-via-bir-and-boc-efficiency/2169649 (ICE SINGAPORE)
