The Indonesian Capital City Authority (OIKN) is auctioning 24 construction projects worth IDR18.46 trillion in August 2025, focusing on legislative and judicial infrastructure in the new capital city (IKN). Most tenders were issued on August 11–12, with construction slated to begin in late October. The legislative district accounts for IDR10.94 trillion of the total, including five major buildings—DPR I, DPR II, DPD, Plenary Session, and MPR—valued at IDR9.8 trillion. The DPR II building alone is priced at IDR2.2 trillion, making it the highest-valued project. The judicial district, budgeted at IDR6.46 trillion, includes the Supreme Court, Constitutional Court, Judicial Commission, IKN Mosque, and Justice Plaza, with IDR3.3 trillion allocated for construction. Supporting infrastructure projects such as roads, water pipelines, and reservoirs total IDR2.22 trillion. These tenders represent just 4.62% of the approved IDR48.8 trillion development budget for the 2025–2029 period. Notably, the auctioned projects exceed the Ministry of Finance’s 2025 allocation of Rp 14.4 trillion by 28%. President Prabowo Subianto has reaffirmed his commitment to continuing IKN development over the next five years, with Coordinating Minister Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono confirming the budget allocation following a presidential meeting.
