ENERGY, MINERALS ADD $8.6 BILLION TO INDONESIA’S NON-TAX REVENUE

The energy and mineral sectors have added approximately Rp 138.8 trillion (around $8.6 billion) to Indonesia’s non-tax state revenue during the first half of 2025 despite declining crude prices, according to official statistics. Indonesia wants to generate Rp 513.6 trillion in non-tax revenue this year, of Rp 254.5 trillion of which would come from its energy and mineral industries. Energy Minister Bahlil Lahadalia recently told reporters that they already reached the halfway mark as of end-June. Data showed that minerals and coal were the biggest contributing subsets, adding around Rp 74.2 trillion in  non-tax receipts. Followed by oil and gas (Rp 57.3 trillion) and other subsets (Rp 6.2 trillion). Efforts are underway for the coal-reliant to switch to renewable energy sources, although its non-tax revenue contribution was still far smaller in value. Renewables and energy conservation made up around Rp 1 trillion of the first-half non-tax revenue.Source: https://jakartaglobe.id/business/energy-minerals-add-86-billion-to-indonesias-nontax-revenue (ICE GIACARTA)
