Petra Tourism Development and Regional Authority Chairman Fares Brizat said on Sunday [03/08] that Petra is one of the most affected tourist destinations by the decline in tourist numbers.During a parliamentary meeting, Brizat explained that 32 hotels with 2,000 rooms have closed in Petra, in addition to 700 employees losing their jobs.Abdul Razzaq Arabiyat, Director General of the Jordan Tourism Board, said on Friday that there has been a near-total cessation of tourism in Jordan due to the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.
