Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto has expressed optimism that all legal documentation on the Indonesia-European Union Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (IEU-CEPA) will be finalized by September 2025. According to Hartarto, with the inauguration of the cascade system, the impact of the IEU-CEPA will be greater for Indonesian business players. On the same occasion,  European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen  noted that Indonesia and the EU have reached a political agreement on the CEPA. She said that there is a lot of untapped potential in the trade relationship between the two parties.
