Poland experienced notable growth in ice cream production last year, becoming one of the European Union's leaders in the expansion of its ice cream market, EU statistical office Eurostat has reported.In 2024, the total ice cream production in the European Union saw a 2-percent increase year on year, reaching 3.3 billion litres, with Germany (607 mln litres), France (501 mln litres), Italy (492 mln litres) and Spain (378 mln litres) being the top four producers. While only in the fifth place in terms of overall production volume, Poland saw a surge of 29 percent in its ice cream production exceeding 298 million litres. (ICE VARSAVIA)
