POLISH DATA CENTRES ATTRACT FOREIGN INVESTORS
Poland is emerging as a preferred location for international data centre investments, the Baker McKenzie law firm reported on Wednesday.According to Baker McKenzie experts, this trend will be further strengthened by administrative restrictions on such investments related to energy supply introduced by other countries, including the Netherlands, France, and Ireland. Successful development of renewable energy sources and the launch of nuclear power plants, including small modular reactors (SMRs), "will be crucial for this sector in Poland."Poland becomes Central and Eastern Europe's leader in terms of number and power of data centres, the JLL consulting firm revealed. In 2024, the country hosted 123 such facilities, and the market's total capacity is estimated to triple by 2030. (ICE VARSAVIA)
