FIVE LAND AREAS ASSIGNED IN ĐÀ NẴNG FREE TRADE ZONE
ĐÀ NẴNG — The central city of Đà Nẵng has designated five sites covering 1,228ha near its newly established 1,881ha Free Trade Zone (FTZ) to begin surveys, land clearance, and land-use procedures by the end of 2025. Key areas include Hải Vân Ward (500ha) and Bà Nà Commune (645ha), encompassing tourism and urban development zones. The FTZ, launched in July, is set to include specialised hubs for production, logistics, digital tech, innovation, and trade services, requiring an estimated VNĐ40 trillion (US$1.6 billion) in investment. It is part of Đà Nẵng’s vision to become a regional economic and international finance centre by 2050, linked with projects like Liên Chiểu Port and airport cargo expansion. Đà Nẵng has signed MOUs with six major investors and seeks further strategic partners with investment capacity from VNĐ2–8 trillion. Construction has started on the Hòa Nhơn Industrial Park and Làng Vân Integrated tourism complex. (ICE HO CHI MINH CITY)
