Kazakhstan's coal exports by rail grew 14% in H1Kazakhstan's coal exports by railway increased by 14% in the first six months of 2025, reaching 16 million tonnes, the press service of national rail operator Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (KTZ) reported Monday."In the first half of 2025, over 16 million tonnes of coal was shipped for export through KTZ’s rail network. This is a 14% increase, or 2 million tonnes more, compared to the same period last year," KTZ said in a press release.Coal exports to India and Turkey in the reporting period doubled to make to 1.4 million and 1.6 million tonnes, respectively.Also, coal deliveries to Kyrgyzstan rose by 24%, reaching 280,000 tonnes, while exports to Russia went up by 8%, totaling 11.8 million tonnes.
