HÀ NỘI — National Assembly (NA) Chairman Trần Thanh Mẫn will attend the 6th World Conference of Speakers of Parliament in Geneva from July 29–31, marking a key event in Vietnam’s parliamentary diplomacy. The conference, hosted by the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), gathers parliamentary leaders from nearly 120 countries to discuss global cooperation for peace, justice, and sustainable development.Vice Chairman Đôn Tuấn Phong highlighted the significance of Mẫn’s participation, noting his plenary speech will affirm Vietnam’s commitment to multilateralism, peaceful dispute resolution, and global environmental and development goals.Chairman Mẫn will also hold bilateral meetings with the IPU leadership and global parliamentary counterparts to boost ties, especially in parliamentary cooperation.Following the Geneva event, he will make official visits to Senegal and Morocco from July 22–30, at the invitation of legislative leaders, to further strengthen Vietnam’s international partnerships and diplomatic presence. — VNA/VNS (ICE HO CHI MINH CITY)
