The ministry has drafted a necessary regulatory document, which is undergoing approval procedures," the press service said in a statement.On Thursday, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Economy Serik Zhumangarin chaired a meeting of the Economic Growth Task Force."The Deputy Prime Minister instructed the Ministry of National Economy to expedite procedural matters for the swift adoption of the new regulations," the government press service added.Kazakhstan’s railway sector accounts for 13% of the nation’s mechanical engineering output. In 2024, domestic manufacturers produced 125 locomotives and over 2,700 railcars valued at 599.3 billion tenge. The industry currently comprises five production facilities located in Astana, Petropavlovsk, Ekibastuz and Atyrau. (ICE ALMATY)
