Kazakhstan reports sharp increase in farm machinery production in H1In the first half of 2025, Kazakhstan produced 4,000 tractors and 441 grain harvesters, which is 39.3% and 64.6% higher, respectively, compared to the same period last year, the government’s press service reported.According to the press service, the annual plan calls for the production of over 10,000 units of agricultural machinery, which is 27% higher than last year’s figures.Agricultural machinery manufacturing accounts for about 6% of the country’s overall mechanical engineering output.Self-propelled agricultural machinery is produced by 10 major enterprises, with domestic manufacturers meeting up to 90% of the domestic market’s demand for tractors and harvesters.In early June this year, the government reported that the agricultural machinery fleet renewal rate in Kazakhstan reached 5.5% in 2024, up from 4.5% in 2023, with plans to increase this figure to 9% by 2028.As of January 1, 2025, Kazakhstan's agricultural fleet included 139,000 tractors, 31,000 harvesters, 5,600 seeding complexes, 71,000 seeders, and 141,000 soil tillage tools.
