Kazakhstan has gold reserves for 30 years, iron ore for millennium – Industry MinistryAt current production levels, Kazakhstan can meet its needs for gold for the next three decades, coal for several hundred years, and iron ore for almost a millennium, according to data from the Ministry of Industry and Construction of the Republic."Kazakhstan remains a country with impressive reserves of natural resources. According to the latest data, at the current production level, the sufficiency of key minerals is as follows: gold - 30 years, copper - 38 years, lead - 156 years, iron ore - 957 years, coal - 350 years," states a message published on the ministry's website.Similar stability is observed in the reserves of manganese, titanium, molybdenum, and other strategically important minerals, the statement says.The ministry emphasized that with sustainable extraction and the continuous development of geological exploration, Kazakhstan can not only maintain but also strengthen its position in the global resource arena.According to statistics, in 2024 Kazakhstan produced 113 million tonnes of coal, 57.4 million tonnes of iron ore, 130.3 tonnes of gold, and 464,000 tonnes of refined copper.
