U.S. Department of Agriculture maintains Kazakhstan wheat export forecastThe U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has kept its forecast for Kazakhstan’s wheat exports unchanged at 8 million metric tonnes for the current agricultural year (July 2025-June 2026), according to the agency’s July report.The USDA’s June projection also estimated Kazakhstan’s wheat exports at 8 million tonnes.The import forecast remains steady at 0.5 million tonnes.Wheat production in Kazakhstan is expected to amount to 15.5 million tonnes compared with the May estimate of 14.5 million tonnes.The USDA estimated carryover grain stocks to value 4.02 million tonnes at the beginning of the period vs. the June forecast of 4.22 million tonnes.According to the USDA, Kazakhstan’s wheat exports in the previous agricultural year (July 2024-June 2025) reached 10.2 million tonnes vs. the June estimate of 10 million tonnes, while imports made up 0.5 million tonnes, as projected earlier. Wheat production amounted to 18.58 million tonnes, and the grain stock at the beginning of the period stood at 3.45 million tonnes. (ICE ALMATY)
