BGK WILL HELP POLISH COMPANIES TO PARTICIPATE IN UKRAINE RECOVERY
Polish companies, that want to take part in the recovery of Ukraine, can count on the help of government institutions. During the Ukraine Recovery Conference held in Rome, Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego (BGK) signed two letters of intent for their support. The first concerns a planned EUR184.1m agreement with the European Commission under the Ukraine Facility programme. This money will enable BGK to provide loans to Polish entrepreneurs for investments in the energy, manufacturing and transport sectors. The second letter concerns the creation of the European Flagship Fund for the Reconstruction of Ukraine, which envisages a joint investment of EUR220m by the signatories, which, in addition to the Polish development bank, are analogous banks from Germany, France and Italy. The initiative is supported by the governments of these countries and the European Commission. (ICE VARSAVIA)
