Afghanistan seeks to export fruits, mineral water to western KazakhstanAfghanistan has expressed interest in exporting fresh and dried fruits, mineral water and soft drinks to the western regions of Kazakhstan, the Kazakh Foreign Ministry said in a press release.Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Murat Nurtleu paid an official visit to Afghanistan where he had a meeting with Afghan Acting Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi to discuss cooperation between the two countries.The two sides explored ways to increase Afghanistan’s exports to Kazakhstan."In recent years, Afghan-produced fresh and dried fruits, mineral water and non-alcoholic beverages have entered Kazakhstan’s market. To expand trade, the parties proposed establishing supply routes through the border town of Torghundi and Turkmenistan to deliver these goods to the western regions of Kazakhstan," the press release says.Nurtleu said during the meeting that Kazakhstan seeks to boost bilateral trade with Afghanistan to $3 billion.
