Kazakhstan cut oil exports to Germany by 29% in June to 160,000 tonnesThe volume of Kazakh oil transportation through the Druzhba pipeline in June of this year totaled 160,000 tonnes or a decrease of 29% from a month earlier, National Company KazTransOil (KTO) told Interfax-Kazakhstan."In June 2025, the volume of Kazakh oil pumped via Transneft’s pipeline system to the Adamowo-Zastawa delivery point [in Poland near the Belarussian border] for further shipment to Germany amounted to 160,000 tonnes," the company said in a reply to an inquiry from Interfax-Kazakhstan.In May, Kazakhstan exported 230,000 tonnes of crude oil to Germany.KTO did not provide information about oil exports scheduled for July.National Company KazMunayGas (KMG) said earlier that Kazakhstan planned to export 1.5 million tonnes of oil to Germany via the Druzhba pipeline in 2025, matching the export volume in 2024. However, KMG later indicated plans to increase shipments to Germany to 2 million tonnes this year.The previous Energy Minister Almasadam Satkaliyev had said that export volumes could rise to 2 million tonnes if requested by Germany.Kazakhstan has been exporting oil to Germany via Transneft’s pipeline system since 2023, with deliveries routed to the Adamowo-Zastawa point.
