U.S. tariffs to impact under $100M of Kazakh exports - EFSDNew U.S. import duties will impact less than $100 million worth of Kazakh exports, representing just 5% of bilateral trade, according to Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development (EFSD) analysts."Only 5% of bilateral trade, worth under $100 million, faces these tariffs - an insignificant amount," EFSD Analytical Department Director Taras Tsukarev said, adding that Kazakhstan's Trade Ministry would negotiate the affected items. The tariffs, set to take effect August 1, will primarily affect phosphorus products, wheat gluten, and nitrogen fertilizers.
