German airline Lufthansa announced in a statement "the start of weekly direct cargo flights between Frankfurt and Beirut," according to the state-run National News Agency (NNA) .  The latter added that this is a "remarkable step that has a positive sign for the Lebanese economy and the exchange of air cargo traffic between Lebanon and abroad and vice versa," and is considered a "positive and important indicator in terms of trade and economic exchange between Lebanon and other countries."  According to Lufthansa, this decision came after an in-depth study and was based on the cooperation and trade exchange between Germany and Lebanon for many years, which reflects the important economic and commercial feasibility of launching this new line in the cargo movement.
