Kazakhstan aims for full self-sufficiency in poultry meat productionKazakhstan plans to achieve full self-sufficiency in poultry meat production within the next few years, Agriculture Minister Aidarbek Saparov said Tuesday."Over the past five years, as part of import substitution efforts in poultry farming, we have increased domestic poultry meat production from 58% to 80% self-sufficiency," Saparov said during a government meeting. "Output has risen from 235,300 tonnes in 2020 to 358,700 tonnes in 2024."He emphasized that the country will continue working toward complete self-sufficiency in poultry meat. (ICE ALMATY)
