BOFA SEES STEADY BUT SUBDUED PH GROWTH
PHILIPPINE economic growth is expected to remain steady but subdued through 2027 in light of external risks and fiscal consolidation, the Bank of America (BofA) said. In its 2025 Asean Mid-Year Outlook, BofA maintained its gross domestic product growth forecasts for the country at 5.5 percent and 5.6 percent, respectively, for this year and the next, and said the expansion was likely to stay at 5.5 percent in 2027. The 2025 projection now falls at the lower end of the government’s recently revised 5.5- to 6.5-percent target for the year, while those for 2026 and 2027 remain below the adjusted goal of 6.0-7.0 percent for the next three years. https://www.manilatimes.net/2025/07/03/business/top-business/bofa-sees-steady-but-subdued-ph-growth/2142705 (ICE SINGAPORE)
